For more than half a century, our sister division Caffco has grown and evolved into an industry leader, thanks to a few sound business concepts and dedicated associates from around the world.

The outcome is one-of-a-kind Company able to survive by serving the diverse and discriminating needs of its growing customer base. It is said that an institution is the long shadow of and individual. This is certainly the case with Caffco, whose history traces back to 1950 when Jimmy Thompson opened a modest flower shop in Alabama's capital city.

His original principals are still exemplified: to work hard and do things right and to serve our customers to the best of our ability. He also believed that ordinary people could achieve extraordinary results, given the opportunity to tackle challenges in an atmosphere that fosters teamwork and caring. That belief holds true today.

Since our simple beginning as a local retail florist, we continue to write our history each step of the way- from retailer to wholesaler, to importer to manufacturer of fine home decor product. Every step has been taken, in an effort to assure ourselves of our ability to deliver to our customers the right products that meet their special needs.

The new chapter in this history is Thompson and Elm. We are moving from the inside out, using our years of experience with accessories to change the way outdoor casual furniture is sold. We are looking to complete the outdoor furniture experience for the consumer by offering not only the furniture they sit on, but the accessories to enjoy and use to complete their outdoor living experience.
